The victim was found in Central Islip, near the intersection of Suffolk and Carleton avenue, at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, as Daily Voice reported. The scene was just steps from the MTA Police Department headquarters. Mystery Surrounds Man Found Dead In Tent-Like Structure In Central Islip: Police A man was found dead inside a makeshift tent near a busy Central Islip intersection, sparking a homicide investigation, Suffolk County Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The body was discovered at approximately 12:30 p.m. inside the enclosure on the south side of Suffolk Avenue, near Carleton Avenue, police said. Investigators have not determined how the man died.
