23-Year-Old From Selden Seriously Injured In Centereach Collision

A young man was seriously injured in a crash on Long Island.

It happened in Centereach on Sunday, Nov. 17, around 10:25 a.m., at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Ronkonkoma Boulevard.

Suffolk County Police said a 32-year-old Medford man was driving a Nissan Sentra south on Ronkonkoma Boulevard when he attempted to turn left onto Middle Country Road, colliding with a motorcycle traveling westbound.

The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old Selden man, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition. Borrero was not injured in the crash.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety inspection. Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating.
