The victim was struck by a vehicle in Elmont at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 while crossing Hempstead Turnpike at Elmont Road.  The vehicle left the scene westbound on Hempstead Turnpike, Nassau County Police said. Officers, Guards Injured During Arrests At UBS Arena Five people were arrested after they allegedly caused disruptions outside of a concert. The incidents occurred on Friday, June 21 in Elmont. According to Nassau County Police, multiple disturbances were reported at UBS Arena, located at 2400 Hempstead Turnpike, during the venue’s MegaBash MX event, which saw multiple popular bands and singers gather under one roof.
