Fatal Crash: Woman ID'd As Victim After Car Hits Barrier In Region
A man sustained serious injuries, and his passenger died after a single-car crash in the region. It happened in Dutchess County around 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, in Pleasant Valley. New York State Police said a 55-year-old Poughkeepsie man was driving a 2006 Honda sedan eastbound on Sherow Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with North Avenue. The vehicle crossed both lanes of North Avenue, ultimately hitting a barrier on the east shoulder, said police. 20-Year-Old Shot, Killed After Stabbing Person At Home In Region: Police
A man was shot and killed after state police say he stabbed a person inside a home in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the town of Pleasant Valley. Responding state police troopers and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office deputies officers located one victim suffering from a stab wound and another the victim of gunfire at the residence on Rawls Road, located just west of the Taconic State Parkway. Bartender In Region Busted Increasing Tips On Credit Cards, Police Say
A bartender in the region was busted for allegedly increasing tip amounts on credit cards to increase her pay. Dutchess County resident Melissa Dinsmore, 33, of Wappinger, was charged by the New York State Police on Friday, Sept. 20. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, the owner of the Publick House Restaurant and Bar in Pleasant Valley alerted police to the possible crime after being notified of the fraud by a customer. A teen was charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly threatening to shoot a student outside a private school in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Sept. 4, when police responded to the home of an Our Lady Of Lourdes High School student for an anonymous terroristic statement threatening to target the victim with a gun after school in Poughkeepsie. An attempt to serve an arrest warrant in the region led to a five-hour standoff with law enforcement. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at around 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley. According to Capt.
