Crash Temporarily Closes Road In Brewster, Causes Injury
A vehicle was left on its side following a crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hour-long road closure. The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday afternoon, Oct. 4, when vehicles collided on Starr Ridge Road near Danbury Road (Route 202) in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department. One driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. According to the department, Starr Ridge Road was closed for around an hour as the crash site was cleared. The cause was not detailed.

Person Rescued From Steep Hill After 20-Foot Fall In Northern Westchester
Firefighters made use of a rope system during the dramatic rescue of a victim who fell around 20 feet down a steep hill in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, June 8, when an elderly person fell from the top of a steep hill in the Village of Mount Kisco, according to the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. Arriving firefighters soon found that the victim had fallen around 20 feet and had come to a rest against two trees.
