BMW Crashes In Hudson Valley After NJ Burglary, Pursuit, Police Say An occupant of a BMW SUV was seriously injured during a crash in the Hudson Valley that also involved an alleged home burglary and a police pursuit. The incident began in Bergen County, around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, in Closter and ended in Rockland County, in Palisades, a few minutes later with a violent crash that rolled the vehicle and landed it back upright. According to Capt. Vincent Aiello of the Closter Police officers responded to a report of a home burglary on Kennedy Circle. Man Accused Of Burglarizing Northern Westchester Residence A 37-year-old man faces a felony charge after allegedly burglarizing a Northern Westchester home, police announced.  Peekskill resident Kevin Powell was arrested on Thursday, June 20 in connection with an incident in Cortlandt on Tuesday, June 18, New York State Police announced on Wednesday, June 26.  According to police, on the day of the incident, troopers responded to a domestic dispute at a Cortlandt home. Man Charged After Abandoning 2 Dogs On Hudson Valley Road, Officials Say A 64-year-old man faces criminal charges after allegedly abandoning two dogs on the side of a Hudson Valley road, authorities announced. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Thursday, June 6, when the Putnam County SPCA learned that two dachshund mix dogs had been found the day before by a good samaritan on Longfellow Drive in the Lake Carmel area of the town of Kent.  According to the SPCA, the dogs were then put into the custody of the Town of Kent Dog Control Officer Mary Madsen, who had learned they allegedly belonged to a Dutchess County resident from Wappingers Falls.  Fo…
