Dramatic Video Shows Officers Rescuing Residents From Burning Northern Westchester Home Several residents were saved from the rear of a burning Northern Westchester residence after officers braved flames and a downed live wire to rescue them. The blaze happened in Ossining on Tuesday night, Aug. 6, when a residence on Maurice Avenue went up in flames, according to Ossining Police.  Arriving officers discovered that several residents were trapped in the rear of the building. Police Department In Northern Westchester To Be Outfitted In Body Cams A Northern Westchester town has authorized outfitting its police department with body-worn cameras. In an announcement on Wednesday, June 5, the Yorktown Town Board said it has approved the purchase of body cameras for the Yorktown Police Department as part of an over $478,000 contract with Axon Enterprises.  Officers are expected to begin wearing the cameras during the summer.  Additionally, the five-year contract also includes the purchase of cloud storage and taser-like devices for the department, officials said.  The purchases follow a report on the town's police depart…
