Thanks to good detective work and help from community members, a landscaping trailer full of equipment stolen from Northern Westchester was found at a property in the region almost two hours away, police said. A 32-year-old Hudson Valley man was apprehended after trying to break into an ATM at a Northern Westchester gas station and fleeing into the woods with his accomplice who remains at large, police said. The attempted theft happened on Thursday, Sept. 19 around 3:15 a.m., when a Bedford resident reported seeing two suspects trying to break into the ATM at a Mobil gas station at 193 Pound Ridge Rd. Missing Man Found At Night After Long Search In Northern Westchester
Thanks to the perseverance of police and first responders, a missing man was successfully found at a Northern Westchester nature preserve following a nighttime search. The hiker was reported missing on Wednesday night, Sept. 11, when police and firefighters were requested to help search for them at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in the area of Michigan Road, according to the Bedford Police Department. A high school senior from Northern Westchester has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash that happened just two days before graduation. The single-vehicle incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18 in Bedford Hills on Route 117 (Bedford Road), near Edna Street, between Valerio Court and Green Lane. Mother, 2 Children Pulled From Burning Northern Westchester Home
A mother and her two young children were taken to a hospital after they were rescued from a burning residence in Northern Westchester. The blaze began on Friday, May 31, around 2:45 a.m. at 38 Park Ave. in Bedford Hills.
