Joseph Scappatore, of Greenlawn, succumbed to injuries sustained when his Chevrolet pickup truck struck a tree on Greenlawn Road near Ducharme Lane in Greenlawn, Suffolk County Police announced Monday, March 10. The wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, as Daily Voice reported. The crash happened at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in Bohemia. A 51-year-old man from Brentwood was driving a 2012 Infiniti G37 westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) with his 6-year-old daughter, Amaia Rivera, in the backseat.  He lost control of the vehicle, hit the center median, crossed all westbound lanes, left the roadway, and collided with a tree, according to Suffolk County Police.
