A man is accused of assaulting a police officer following a car crash on Long Island. The incident happened in Bellmore, near the intersection of Bellmore Avenue and Merrick Road, shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Nassau County Police said 63-year-old Charles Klimovich, of Bellmore, was involved in a car crash and refused to give officers his information to document the incident. Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Long Island Crash
A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. The bicyclist was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Grace, The driver of the Sonata was not injured. Woman Attacked By Dog At Nassau County Home
A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition. The Nassau County Emergency Service Unit (ESU) responded and secured the animals. The investigation is ongoing.

Wanted Driver Drags, Injures Deputy Following Traffic Stop On Long Island, Police Say
A Long Island man wanted by police tried fleeing a traffic stop, injuring a sheriff’s deputy in the process, authorities said. The incident happened in Bohemia on Lincoln Avenue, at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Suffolk County Sheriff’s officials said the deputy stopped 37-year-old Christopher Brown, of Holbrook, and informed him he was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Amityville. The warrant stemmed from charges of driving without a license and displaying illegal plates. A suspect was apprehended after allegedly fleeing from a stop on the Southern State Parkway. The incident began at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 when New York State Police say a tan Toyota Sienna was observed with an improper license plate on the eastbound side near Exit 2 in Wantagh. The wreck happened in Babylon, in the westbound lanes near exit 39S, at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22.
