Assault On Security Guard At Baldwin Bowling Alley Leads To Charges For Fourth Suspect
A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with an assault on a security guard at a Long Island bowling alley. The incident happened in Baldwin, at the Ultra Lanes on Grand Avenue, at around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, July 27. Nassau County Police said several customers became disruptive and were asked to leave when they began punching, kicking, and choking a security staffer. They also threw bowling balls at the victim and stole the employee’s phone before fleeing in a BMW, police said. Officers arrested three suspects a short time later. 28-Year-Old ID'd After Fatal Long Island Crash
A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The incident happened in Southampton, south of County Road 51 and Speonk Riverhead Road, at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. Southampton Town Police said a motorcyclist was going southbound on County Road 51 when he crashed into a wooded area. Emergency crews found the victim, 28-year-old Rafael Andre Penalas, of Bayport, unconscious. He was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A suspect is behind bars following a stabbing attack on Long Island that sent a man to the hospital. The incident happened in Massapequa, near the intersection of Polo and Oxford roads, shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7.
