More than 450,000 Stanley-branded kid's garden sets sold nationwide at Costco are subject to a recall due to the possible presence of lead paint on some of the products, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Timothy Kjaer, age 49, formerly of Shoreham, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Sept. 12. Man Killed After Being Struck By SUV Overnight On Long Island
A man was killed after being struck by an SUV on a Long Island roadway overnight. It happened around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in Mastic. A 74-year-old Mastic woman was driving a 2019 Kia SUV southbound on Mastic Road, near Dover Avenue, when the vehicle struck the man riding a bicycle traveling southbound. A Long Island driving instructor has been accused of inappropriately touching one of his students.
