Located in Ulster County, the Kingston Just-A-Buck and Beyond store at 264 Plaza Road in Kingston Plaza said it has decided to close this location.  "We are so grateful for the wonderful staff and customers we have met and shared the last 37 years with," store officials said. Body Of Man Who Jumped From Hudson Valley Bridge Recovered The body of a man who jumped from a bridge in the region has been recovered. The incident occurred on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 3. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Montgomery man jumped from the bridge mid-span at around 11:25 a.m.  The New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team recovered the body on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at approximately 2:25 p.m.  The man's identity has not been released pending family notification.  This is a developing story. Girl Injured After Jumping Out Of School Bus In Hudson Valley A teenage girl was severely injured after jumping out of the back door of an Omni bus following a flat tire. The incident occurred in Orange County around 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, on I-84 in Middletown. Duo Extorts Thousands From Hudson Valley Business Owner Using Threats Of Libel, DA Says Two Hudson Valley residents are accused of extorting a business owner out of thousands of dollars. Orange County residents Ally Thueson, age 32, and Elizabeth Sloanhoffer, age 33, both of Montgomery, were arrested by the county’s White Collar Crime Task Force on Tuesday, June 4, on suspicion of grand larceny and coercion.
