Man From Region Killed By Trooper After Pulling Gun, Police Say A distraught man from the region who threatened self-harm was shot and killed by New York State troopers after allegedly pulling a gun. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, on Route 9 in the parking lot of Bethel Saratoga in Saratoga Springs. The incident occurred in Orange County, around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 18, in the parking lot of You You Asian Cuisine at 465 Route 211 East in Wallkill. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Loaded Gun Following Chase, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was nabbed with a loaded semi-automatic ghost gun after a chase with police. The incident occurred in Orange County on Wednesday, July 24, around 11 p.m. in the area of Third Street and City Terrace in the city of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, detectives from the department's Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force were patrolling the area, which has experienced a rash of narcotics complaints and shooting incidents.
