Fatal Shooting: 21-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Capital Region The victim in an early-morning shooting in Albany was identified as a 21-year-old man. Quadair Hoffler, of Rensselaer, was shot to death at a residence in Albany’s Pine Hills neighborhood, located on Yates Street near South Lake Avenue, at around 1:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, according to Albany Police. Hoffler suffered a single gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Nobody else was injured. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday, Feb. 11. Cop Impersonator Sexually Assaults Woman At Knifepoint At Capital Region Home Police are on the hunt for a man who impersonated a police officer before sexually assaulting a woman at her home in the region. The incident happened in Albany, at a residence on Mercer Street near South Lake Avenue, shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9. Albany Police said a man knocked on the door of the victim’s apartment and announced that he was a member of the Albany Police Department. When the woman unlocked her door, the man forced his way inside and pulled a knife before sexually assaulting her, police said. He then fled the scene on foot.
