Shooting Update: 2 Men Injured In Region, Suspect On Run
Police are investigating after two men were shot while visiting a Hudson Valley home. The incident occurred in Orange County at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in front of 31.5 Lake Ave. in Middletown. According to Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen, officers responded to the area after receiving several 911 calls reporting shots fired. Officers located evidence consistent with a shooting but no injured people. Man From Region Stabbed Multiple Times During Assault
A Hudson Valley man is recovering after being stabbed multiple times during an assault. The incident occurred in Orange County around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, in the town of Wallkill. According to Wallkill Police Lt. Robert McLymore, officers responded to an assault at 265 Route 211 E. and found a 64-year-old Middletown man. A former town supervisor in the Hudson Valley has died following an illness. Orange County resident Thomas F. Nosworthy Jr, of the town of Wallkill, died on Monday, Sept. 9, at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. He was 84. The son of the late Thomas F. Nosworthy Sr. and Beatice Nosworthy, he was born on May 10, 1940, in New York City, according to his obituary. Tom was a US Navy veteran who served active duty with NORAD in the Pacific during the Cold War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1181.
