Fentanyl, Cocaine Dealer Nabbed In Hudson Valley Following Investigation: Police
After months of investigation, the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has charged a 23-year-old woman for allegedly selling fentanyl and cocaine.
Najey Green, age 23, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 9, after police received complaints of drug activity in the area.
According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the task force, agents purchased fentanyl and cocaine from Green at several locations throughout Poughkeepsie.

A 68-year-old Rockland County man died following a single-vehicle collision on Clausland Mountain Road near Tweed Boulevard in Blauvelt.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, when the Tappan man, driving a 2008 Pontiac G5 northeast on Clausland Mountain Road, veered off the pavement, striking a large rock and an earth embankment on the east side of the roadway, said Capt. Michael Shannon on the Orangetown Police.

A 7-year-old child suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street with his mother in a Kingston crosswalk.
The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, on the Boulevard near Stewarts, said Lt. Patrick Buono of the Kingston Police.
According to Buono, a 2011 Chevy Silverado, driven by Nicholas Visbeck, age 33, of Kingston, struck the child crossing the street with his mother in the crosswalk.

A Poughkeepsie man wanted in connection with a significant drug bust in East Fishkill has been arrested following a community tip, authorities announced.
Michael S. Birney, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday, Jan. 5, after Drug Task Force Agents located him near Hooker Avenue and South Hamilton Street. Birney was arrested without incident, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
