The wreck happened in Colonie, on Wolf Road south of Sand Creek Road, at around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.
A driver was traveling northbound on Wolf Road when they crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, Colonie Police said.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to police.
Authorities withheld the victim’s identity until their family was properly notified.
The crash shut down Wolf Road for nearly two hours. It has since reopened to traffic.
