Person Jumps From Bridge In Region
Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. According to New York State Police, the unidentified person jumped from the bridge on the Beacon side, and a search is ongoing. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

The body of a missing swimmer who went underwater in a Hudson Valley lake and never resurfaced has been recovered by divers. A young explorer has some dedicated search and rescue crews to thank for pulling him to safety after he became trapped inside a popular cave in the region.
