Fatal Chain-Reaction Long Island Expressway Crash: Garden City Woman ID'd As Victim One person was killed and another seriously injured in a chain-reaction crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Yaphank. A 65-year-old man from Bay Shore was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound near Exit 68, according to Suffolk County Police. He had a female passenger on the back seat.  The motorcycle hit the rear of a 2016 Lexus SUV, which had slowed down due to traffic.  The Lexus then struck the rear of a 2019 Audi SUV. Driver Behind DWI Crash Killing 15-Year-Old In Woodmere Found Guilty Of Vehicular Homicide More than two years after a 15-year-old girl was killed in a drunk driving crash on Long Island, the man responsible has been convicted. Arlin Aguilera, age 37, of West Hempstead, was found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges by a Nassau County jury on Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the death of Liel Namdar.
