30-Year-Old Dies In Fiery Drunk Driving Crash In Hicksville, Police Say An accused drunk driver is behind bars following a fiery, two-vehicle crash that killed a man on Long Island. The wreck happened in Hicksville, near the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Cantiague Rock Road, at around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Nassau County Police said a Subaru was making a left turn from eastbound Prospect Avenue onto northbound Cantiague Rock Road when it struck a westbound Honda. The wreck happened in Babylon, in the westbound lanes near exit 39S, at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. New York State Police said a Honda sedan was speeding when it struck a Honda compact SUV causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest in the tree line. The driver of the SUV, 49-year-old Reynaldo Collado, of West Babylon, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. 55-Year-Old Killed In North Massapequa Hit-Run Crash A suspect is on the loose after a fatal overnight hit-and-run Long Island crash. It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in North Massapequa. A 55-year-old man was crossing Hicksville Road in the vicinity of Boundary Avenue when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
