Drunk Driver From Carmel Leads Officers On Short Chase In Region: Police
A 40-year-old drunk driver was apprehended after fleeing a traffic stop in the region, police said. The incident leading to the man's arrest began in Putnam County just before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, when a Kent Police officer saw a vehicle driving erratically on Route 311, according to the department. The officer soon tried stopping the vehicle on Terry Hill Road. However, the car ignored the officer's emergency lights and sirens and kept going, authorities said. Teen Nabbed For Making Threat Of Mass Harm Against Hudson Valley High School, Police Say
An 18-year-old Hudson Valley student has been charged with allegedly making several threats against Rhinebeck High School. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the school on N. Park Drive. According To New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an investigation determined the threats were not credible, but a search of the building was conducted out of an abundance of caution. Employee Nabbed In Abuse Case At Facility In Hudson Valley
A man from the region has been charged with two counts of allegedly endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and forcible touching. Following an investigation, Dutchess County resident Garnet G. Collins, age 50, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 11. According to Trooper Aaron Hicks of the New York State Police, Collins was an employee at the Anderson Center for Autism in Staatsburg, a hamlet of Hyde Park. Hicks said the incidents involved two different residents at the center. Both victims were issued orders of protection from the court.…

An NYPD sergeant from the Hudson Valley was charged with DWI and hit-and-run following a pursuit with the New York State Police on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The incident occurred in Rockland and Orange counties on Sunday, Aug. 4, in Haverstraw and Highlands.
