It happened around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Blue Point. A 54-year-old East Patchogue woman was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Kennedy Avenue near Pine Street when the vehicle struck a man working on a 2006 Dodge Ram parked on the northbound side of the road. Apparent Drowning: Babylon Woman Pulled From Connetquot River ID'd In Oakdale Authorities are investigating the apparent drowning of a woman on Long Island. The incident happened Sunday morning, Aug. 4, in Oakdale. Man Hid Human Remains Found Along Long Island Highway: Police A man has been arrested after police said he concealed human remains that were found along a local highway. Garry Cowell, age 72 of Patchogue, was arrested on Thursday, June 27, according to Suffolk County Police. At approximately 4:30 p.m., police discovered human remains in East Patchogue along Montauk Highway near County Road 101.
