An undercover investigation on Long Island has led to charges for two women, including one for prostitution. The operation was conducted in the middle of the afternoon on Monday, Oct. 7 at Serenity Relaxing Spa in Carle Place located at 550 Westbury Ave. where Nassau County Police say itwas determined illegal massages and prostitution were being conducted. A suspect is in custody days after a woman was found stabbed to death at a Long Island home. Officers responded to a 911 call for an aided person in Hempstead at a Botsford Street residence on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 8:40 p.m. in Hempstead. Upon arrival, officers located the 29-year-old woman, now identified as Brenda Guadalupe Alfaro-Alcantara, of Hempstead, in the basement of the home with multiple stab wounds. A man is accused in a string of threats and antisemitic remarks targeting random people around Long Island. Nassau County Police said detectives were informed of two separate disturbances in Cedarhurst at around 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The first happened near Lincoln Street and Oakland Avenue, and the second occurred near Barrett Road and Washington Avenue. Police are searching for a group of suspects who stole two cars from the driveway of a Long Island home after burglarizing the occupied residence. Three of the suspects entered the North Woodmere residence located on Jay Court through a rear door. just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to Nassau County Police. A man has been accused of sex trafficking and promoting prostitution on Long Island. Queens resident Wilson Rodriguez Peralta, 27, of Maspeth, was arrested without incident on Friday night, Oct. 4 in Hicksville, following a Nassau County Police investigation. Peralta has been charged with: Sex trafficking, Criminal possession of a controlled substance, Promoting prostitution. 21-Year-Old Nabbed After Breaking Into Inwood Home, Police Say
A 21-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Long Island home. Nassau County Police were called about a break-in at an Inwood residence on Wahl Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. When officers arrived, they found Wilber Sigaran fleeing the scene, police said. An officer caught up to Sigaran and deployed a TASER device in order to place him under arrest. Sigaran, of Inwood, is charged with assault and burglary. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Oct. 3.

14-Year-Old Severely Injured In Merrick Crash
A teenage suffered critical injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened on Friday, Oct. 4, at 9:40 p.m. in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. A 41-year-old man operating a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle northbound on Merrick Avenue. The 73-year-old Inwood woman contacted Nassau County Police on Wednesday morning, Oct, 2, saying a man had called her claiming to work for her bank’s fraud department. During the call, he told the woman there were fraudulent charges on her bank card and they would arrange for someone to pick up the card from her home. A brother and sister from Long Island are accused of abusing their elderly mother to the point the woman died. Nassau County Police were called to a Roosevelt home at around 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, to perform a welfare check. Inside, officers found 85-year-old Carmel McDougall unresponsive. She was taken to a hospital and died days later, on Wednesday, Sept. 18. A man has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle Long Island crash. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in Glen Cove.
