Missing 19-Year-Old From Levittown Found 10 Days After Disappearance
A teenager from Long Island has been located 10 days after his disappearance.
Jared Schwerdt, age 19, had last been seen leaving his Levittown residence on a blue-and-white bicycle Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 5:40 p.m., according to Nassau County Police.
On Friday morning, Nov. 8, police announced that he has been found.
No further details were released.

Christine Williams, age 57, of Hempstead, had last been seen leaving Emery Street at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, according to Nassau County Police.
On Wednesday, Nov. 6, police announced that Williams had been located. No other details were given.

Westbury Man Raped 5-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
A Long Island man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
Wilson Castillo Diaz, age 26, of Westbury, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 22, following an investigation by the Nassau County Police Department’s Special Victims Squad. The case was publicized Friday, Nov. 1.
According to police, Diaz raped a 5-year-old girl in Westbury on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Authorities did not elaborate on the nature of his relationship to the child.
The victim was taken to a hospital and evaluated following the alleged attack.

Unlicensed Levittown Woman Driving Drunk With 2 Kids Onboard Crashes SUV: Police
An unlicensed Long Island woman has been accused of driving drunk with two children in the SUV after an overnight crash, police said.
The incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 11, just after midnight in Levittown.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, officers responded to Flamingo Road after a report that a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee had hit an unoccupied parked vehicle.
The investigation revealed the driver, Jessica Lemus, age 21, of Levittown, had slurred speech, watery eyes, was unsteady on her feet, and had an odor of alcohol emanating from her breath, police said.

'Trusted' Unlicensed Contractors Defrauded Long Island Homeowners, Police Say
They were hired to make repairs but ended up scamming Long Island homeowners instead, police allege.
Nassau County Police arrested two men on suspicion of fraud and related charges Monday, July 22, for allegedly posing as construction contractors in order to con homeowners.
