Long Island Man, 23, Dies When Car Crashed Into 18-Wheeler On NJ Turnpike: Troopers A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Donald Butler of Wheatley Heights, died in the crash in Westampton Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said.  Troopers responded to the northbound side of the turnpike near milepost 43.9 at around 9:56 p.m. The crash happened just south of Exit 5, which is the interchange for Burlington-Mount Holly Road. ID Released For Man Killed In Ch1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured In Chain-Reaction Lynbrook Crash The identity has been released of a man killed in a chain-reaction crash on Long Island. It happened just after 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25,  in Lynbrook. Nassau County Police said a 70-year-old man was operating a white 2018 Nissan Sentra as an Uber driver with a 26-year-old male passenger westbound on Sunrise Highway when he struck a white 2012 Audi operated by a 37-year-old man traveling westbound at Atlantic Avenue.
