A new system arriving in the area Tuesday night could produce a similar sight early Wednesday.
Precipitation is expected to start as rain after nightfall arrives Tuesday.
There could once again be as much as two inches of accumulation in Dutchess, according to the National Weather Service, which issued this Hazard Weather Statement that includes Dutchess.
A mix of rain and snow should arrive in Dutchess after 8 p.m. with the chance for mixed precipitation and light snow through 10 a.m. Wednesday. That will be followed by a chance of rain through 3 p.m.

Accumulations will range from a half inch to as much as 2 inches. (See projected totals in image above.)
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Orange County where as much as three inches of snow is possible leading to hazardous travel especially on untreated roads, bridges and overpasses, the National Weather Service said.
