Police are investigating alleged criminal behavior by a public school teacher in Westchester County. It is alleged by a student that William Archacki, age 50, a teacher at Yonkers Public School No. 21, had caused a student to fear for their safety by walking up behind this student while holding a paring knife during school hours on Wednesday, Feb. 8 Archacki is a Northern Westchester resident of Buchanan, and was a fifth-grade teacher at Public School No. 21, located on Lee Avenue in Yonkers, at the time of this incident, Yonkers Police said. Top elected officials in the Hudson Valley are condemning the actions of a man who was caught on camera brutally attacking an Asian woman in a Westchester apartment building. Yonkers resident Tammel Esco, age 42, was charged with a hate crime after assaulting a 67-year-old Asian woman following his arrest on Friday, March 11, Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah announced. Officers from the Yonkers Police Department responded to the Duo Tapas Lounge and Bar on Yonkers Avenue at approximately 2:08 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, where there was a report of a shooting with multiple victims. Police investigators in Westchester solved a nine-year murder mystery that led to the arrest of two suspects, authorities announced. Three suspects have been apprehended after four people were injured, one critically, in a drive-by shooting in Westchester. On Thursday, June 10, at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Elm Street at Oak Street in Yonkers on a report of a shooting incident with multiple victims. Two members of the Yonkers Fire Department were charged in separate assaults that injured several people, according to police. One of the firefighters lives in Westchester County, one in Orange County.
