Woman Stabbed Multiple Times In Hudson Valley, Suspect Nabbed, Police Say
A man from the area is behind bars after allegedly stabbing a woman in the neck several times. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Friday, Jan. 27 on Wolcott Avenue in Beacon. The woman was found after Beacon Police received a call from her telling officers she had been stabbed inside her home, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson of the Beacon Police. Officers quickly responded to the scene and located the suspect still inside the home with blood on his clothes, Johnson said. Accused Drug Dealer Nabbed In Beacon Raid
An accused drug dealer has been arrested after a raid in Beacon, according to police. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force allegedly executed a search warrant at 906 Wolcott Avenue in the City of Beacon on Thursday, April 25. Police say the warrant was the result of an investigation surrounding the sales of narcotics that were allegedly taking place near the area. The warrant was carried out without incident, police say. Four employees at local Dutchess County retail locations are facing charges after being busted by state police for selling alcohol to minors as part of a statewide crackdown on underage drinking. In an effort to ensure that retailers are complying with the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Control laws, state police conducted a plain-clothes check of 22 Dutchess County stores over the weekend, which led to the arrests of four employees, including a teenager, for various violations.
