This story has been updated. An unauthorized tractor-trailer became stuck in the median on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway, blocking lanes, and causing hours-long gridlock. The incident began to unfold in Westchester County around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in New Castle at mile marker 10. To help those struggling with rising costs, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced that the state's minimum wage will be increasing when the new year begins. The identity has been released of a person who was killed after being struck by a train at a station in New York. The incident happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 in Westchester County when the man trespassing on tracks at the Port Chester station was struck by the Stamford-bound Metro-North train on Track 3, according to an MTA spokesperson.
