Man Ramming Vehicles In Stolen Car Nabbed After Crash, Police Say A 32-year-old man was charged with numerous crimes after allegedly stealing a Dodge Charger during a burglary in the area and ramming numerous vehicles including police cruisers. Malachi Hunter, a former New Jersey resident, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 9, in Dutchess County after crashing head-on into a City of Poughkeepsie police car. The incident with Hunter began when police received a 911 call regarding an erratic driver attempting to run over people in the area of 52 Gifford Ave., said Detective Lt. Police ID Victim Of Fatal Shooting In Area Police have released the identity of a 21-year-old man who was shot to death while hanging out with friends in the area. Arion J. Stith was found shot to death around 1:04 a.m., Friday, May 28 when the City of Poughkeepsie Police responded to 81 Washington Street for a report of a man shot. Stith, a former Poughkeepsie resident who had been living in North Carolina, was transported by ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he later died, authorities said. 21-Year-Old Found Shot Dead In Area, Police Say A 21-year-old man was found shot to death in the area. The man was found around 1 a.m., Friday, May 28,  in the City of Poughkeepsie Police, at a home on Washington Street. It happened on Thursday, Dec. 19 at around 2:15 p.m. in the area of 131 Washington St. (Route 9G), City of Poughkeepsie Police said.
