Funeral services have been announced for a 17-year-old Hudson Valley boy killed in a Northern Westchester crash who is being remembered for the joy he often brought to others. Putnam County resident Vladislav “Vlad” Saban was killed in a crash in Cortlandt on Friday, Dec. 15 at the age of 17 when he lost control of the 2012 Toyota Prius he had been driving south on Albany Post Road (Route 9) and hit a utility pole and a tree, according to New York State Police. Fatal Northern Westchester Crash: 17-Year-Old ID'd As Victim, Girl Critically Injured
A 17-year-old has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash in Northern Westchester in which a 16-year-old was critically injured. It happened around 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 on Albany Post Road (Route 9) in Cortlandt. According to New York State Police spokesman AJ Hicks, an iitial investigation revealed Putnam County resident and Haldane High School student Vladislav Saban, of Cold Spring, operating a 2012 Toyota Prius southbound sideswiped a Subaru Forester while passing illegally on the right shoulder.
