Man Struck, Killed While Walking On Tracks In Area, Police Say A 92-year-old man who was walking on the tracks is dead after being struck by a train in the area, state police said. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on the Amtrak line between the Rhinecliff and Staatsburg stations around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25. A state police investigation revealed that An V. Tran of Poughkeepsie was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train. Amtrak Police, Village of Rhinebeck Police, MTA Police, NYS Department of Transportation, Hillside Fire Department and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office were also on scene.  Further infor…
