Fatal Crash: 27-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On I-84 Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on a stretch of Interstate 84. It happened around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, June 17 in Tolland County, in the town of Vernon. A 2014 Honda RGL was traveling westbound in the center lane and a 2009 Nissan Altima was traveling in the left lane when the Altima sideswiped the pickup truck, then overcorrected causing the Nissan to strike the median and roll over, Connecticut State Police said. Stolen Handgun, Drugs Seized From Man Going 84 MPH On I-84, Police Say Connecticut State Police troopers recovered a stolen handgun and busted a man in possession of crack cocaine and other drugs during a speeding stop on I-84. Troopers conducting an enforcement detail on I-84 near exit 66 in Vernon stopped a vehicle when it was clocked going 84 mph on the interstate.
