Car Catches On Fire On Taconic Parkway
An early morning vehicle blaze sent up plenty of smoke on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The fire began on Tuesday, Nov. 12 around 6 a.m. on the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Briarcliff Manor, where a vehicle went up in flames, according to the Hawthorne Fire Department, which helped fight the blaze. Arriving firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the parkway's right shoulder. No injuries were reported.

Car Engulfed In Flames On Taconic Parkway
A vehicle fire prompted an early morning response on the Taconic State Parkway. The blaze happened on Saturday, Oct. 19 around 8:30 a.m. in Northern Westchester, when an SUV caught on fire on the southbound side in Hawthorne. Arriving fire crews soon found the vehicle consumed by flames and quickly hosed it down, putting the blaze out completely. The response took around an hour and sent plumes of smoke up into the air on the parkway, as seen in images of the fire released on the Hawthorne Fire Department's social media page. No injuries were reported.

Fatal Crash, Car Fire: Woman ID'd As Victim In Single-Vehicle Capital Region Wreck
Authorities have identified a woman who died in a single-vehicle crash and car fire in the region. The Saratoga County wreck happened at around 10:20 a.m. Friday, May 17, in Clifton Park. Sheriff’s officials said emergency crews were called about a single-vehicle crash and subsequent car fire that occurred on North Parkwood Drive near State Route 9. Car Goes Up In Flames On Busy Northern Westchester Roadway
Smoke was seen on a busy main route in Northern Westchester when a vehicle went up in flames. The incident happened on Saturday, May 11 around 1:40 p.m., when a car caught on fire on Route 9 southbound in Croton-on-Hudson just south of the pedestrian bridge. According to the village's fire department, the blaze began in the vehicle's engine compartment and was quickly put out. The car was removed from the road after around an hour. No injuries were reported.

Van Bursts Into Flames In Hudson Valley: Photos
A vehicle fire in the Hudson Valley prompted a quick response from firefighters and left a van almost completely engulfed in flames. The fire happened on Thursday afternoon, June 29 in Putnam County on Route 311 in the town of Patterson at Maple Avenue, according to the Patterson Fire Dept. No.1. A 50-year-old snow plow driver has died following a fiery crash at a business in the region. Emergency crews in Greene County were called shortly after midnight on Monday, Dec. 12, with reports of a crash in Coxsackie at the Essendant Distribution Center, located on State Route 9W, according to State Police. Police are investigating a fiery fatal crash in Westchester County. It happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. Responders were dispatched to mile marker 5.6 northbound for a report of a crash with a vehicle engulfed in flames.
