Driver Hospitalized After Car Snaps Poles In Hudson Valley
A driver was taken to a hospital following a crash in Northern Westchester that left two utility poles snapped. The crash happened on Friday, Oct. 4 just before 8:30 p.m., when a vehicle hit two poles on Route 133 in Mount Kisco near the intersection with Crow Hill Road, according to Independent Fire Co. #13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department. Arriving first responders found that the crash had knocked over two poles, leaving wires dangerously close to the roadway. 23-Year-Old Passenger From Poughkeepsie Killed In Wappinger Crash
A Hudson Valley man who was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan was killed in a single-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of Wappinger, at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, on All Angels Hill Road near Dugan Lane. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Infiniti sedan with five occupants was traveling southbound on All Angels Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. A 40-year-old Wilton man is believed to have been drunk when he rolled his truck during a single-vehicle crash that ejected two young boys from the truck's bed and into the hospital, authorities said. Matthew J. Murry Jr. said he crashed his vehicle on Pettis Road in Wilton just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said. Part of a busy Hudson Valley road was briefly closed to traffic after a semi-truck collided with a utility pole, causing a blaze sparked by live wires. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 9 around 1 p.m., when a semi-truck hit a utility pole on Farmers Mills Road (Route 42) in Kent, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. A cable company employee was electrocuted while working on a utility pole in the region. The Albany County incident happened at around 2 a.m. Friday, April 19, in the town of Berne on Long Road. The Spectrum Cable employee was in a bucket truck performing routine equipment maintenance on a utility pole when he came into contact with an electrical line, a spokesperson for Spectrum’s parent company Charter Communications told Daily Voice. Car Flips Over, Slams Into Pole In Northern Westchester, Leaving Driver Injured
A driver was left injured after a car overturned and crashed into a utility pole in Northern Westchester. The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 16 around 6 p.m., when a vehicle traveling in Croton-on-Hudson Old Post Road South flipped over and hit a pole on Nordica Drive, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Firefighters and police then descended upon the scene to help the injured driver escape the vehicle. After the occupant was turned over to first responders, firefighters waited for Con Edison to fix the pole, which took about 90 minutes.

A driver in Putnam County escaped serious injury after crashing into a utility pole in a busy Mahopac intersection. Man Killed After Car Hits Pole In Fiery Westchester Crash
This story has been updated. One person was killed and another injured late Saturday night when a car burst into flames after crashing into a utility pole in Westchester. The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Pinebrook Boulevard, a residential street just east of New Rochelle High School. The crash brought down power lines onto the vehicle.
