Trump is currently facing federal charges in Washington, DC, for alleged fraud in the 2020 election, as well as election fraud charges in the state of Georgia. New Yorkers hoping to carry concealed handguns will soon have to share their social media accounts as part of a more stringent application process under a new state law. Starting in September, concealed carry applicants will have to go through several new steps, including an in-person interview with a licensing officer “to determine character and trustworthiness to handle a firearm,” according to a statement from Democratic Senator Anna Kaplan, who co-sponsored the legislation. Applicants will also have to give authorities at least four character references and provide a list of current an…

If You’re Caught In A Mass Shooting, Will Cops Save You? Here’s What NY Agencies Say To Expect
As public outrage grows over the delayed police response to the mass shooting at a Texas elementary school, many are questioning whether they can rely on law enforcement should they find themselves in a similar disaster. That concern is sure to increase following a bombshell report from The New York Times Thursday, June 9, that heavily armed police officers delayed confronting the 18-year-old gunman in Uvalde, Texas for over an hour - even though supervisors knew wounded students were trapped - out of concern for officer safety. Breaking News: Heavily armed Uvalde officers waited an hou…

New York Law Limiting Carrying Guns In Public Questioned By US Supreme Court Justices
The US Supreme Court could strike down a New York weapons law that requires firearm owners to show a specific need to get a permit to carry a gun outside the home. This week, the court heard arguments over a dispute about whether New York’s law violates the Second Amendment right to “keep and bear arms” in public and the line of questioning by some justices indicated some skepticism about the law. The petitioners in the case are Robert Nash, Brandon Koch, and the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, who are being represented by former solicitor general Paul Clement. Both Nash and…

Parking enforcement officers using chalk to mark tires may be acting unconstitutionally, a federal court ruled. NY Politicians React To Ford-Kavanaugh Testimony
This story has been updated. New York's leading Democrats called Thursday's testimony against U.S. Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh credible and potentially fatal to his confirmation by the U.S. Senate. “Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, you are a hero,” wrote Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York on Twitter. Sen.
