On Saturday, Aug. 17, a plane crashed into the Bocker family’s Dutchess County home in Union Vale, burning most of Hannah’s body and killing her father, Gerard Bocker. For the last two months, Hannah has been receiving treatment at Westchester Medical Center, which has included multiple surgeries. Home Fire Displaces Four In Area Four people were left homeless after a fire ripped through their Union Vale home, making it unliveable.  The Union Vale Fire Department received notice of the fire at the home on Route 82 around 11:48 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, the department said. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a  fully involved structure fire in the attic area on the second floor of the home and a second alarm was dispatched.  All occupants made it safely out of the home once the fire began, the department said.
