Ulster County resident Elijah Maldonado, of Ellenville, was last seen on Saturday, Nov. 4 leaving his home. Ellenville Police said Maldonado had a fight with his mother and left and hasn't been seen since.  Maldonado was last seen wearing a black down coat with a fur hood, ripped jeans, and sneakers.  He is described as being 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Johnson, age 47, from the hamlet of Ruby, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 18 for falsely reporting an incident and criminal impersonation. Chief Kyle S. Fatal Crash: 32-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man ID'd As Victim A 32-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed during a crash with another vehicle on Route 299. The incident took place in Ulster County around 7:15. p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19 in the town of Gardiner. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, Dutchess County resident Daniel Curtin, of Wappingers Falls, was driving a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle when he was struck by a 2012 Subaru that crossed over the double-yellow line. Nevel said Curtin was gravely injured and died from his injuries despite the efforts of the troopers and EMS on the scene. This investigation is ongoing.

Ulster County resident Charles Burgher, of Highland, was found guilty on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Kingston. The conviction stems from events taking place between August 2022 and Nov. 2022, when Burgher was arrested after a five-and-a-half-hour standoff with law enforcement at the 9W Motel in the Town of Ulster, said the Ulster County District Attorney's Office.
