The incidents took place in Ulster County in Ellenville, a village in the town of Wawarsing on Saturday, Nov. 4 around 6 p.m. on Canal Street and Maiden Lane. Know this graffiti? Missing: Hudson Valley 19-Year-Old Hasn't Been Seen In 5 Days, Police Say Police are asking the public for help locating a 19-year-old from the region who hasn't been seen in five days. Ulster County resident Elijah Maldonado, of Ellenville, was last seen on Saturday, Nov. 4 leaving his home. Ellenville Police said Maldonado had a fight with his mother and left and hasn't been seen since.  Maldonado was last seen wearing a black down coat with a fur hood, ripped jeans, and sneakers.  He is described as being 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. ShopRite To Close Hudson Valley Store After more than 30 years of serving Hudson Valley grocery shoppers, a popular ShopRite store will close by the end of next year. The 55,500-square-foot store, located in Ulster County in Ellenville, at 1 ShopRite Boulevard off Route 209, was opened in 1993 by Wakefern Food Corporation in New Jersey.  It is the only major grocery store in the village. Johnson, age 47, from the hamlet of Ruby, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 18 for falsely reporting an incident and criminal impersonation. Chief Kyle S. Berardi of the Ulster Police Department said Johnson was charged following an 18-month investigation stemming from the 16 calls to 911 made between March 2022 and Sept. 2023. Hudson Valley Man Who Killed Friend For 'Talking Trash' Sentenced To Prison A man from the region has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing his best friend by shooting him in the back of the head while he was in the area from California visiting his mother. Ulster County resident Gregory Thayer, age 50, of the town of Ulster was sentenced on Wednesday, Oct. 25 to 25 years for manslaughter and 15 years for criminal possession of a weapon. Both sentences will run concurrently, said the Ulster County District Attorney's Office. Fatal Crash: 32-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man ID'd As Victim A 32-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed during a crash with another vehicle on Route 299. The incident took place in Ulster County around 7:15. p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19 in the town of Gardiner. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, Dutchess County resident Daniel Curtin, of Wappingers Falls, was driving a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle when he was struck by a 2012 Subaru that crossed over the double-yellow line. Nevel said Curtin was gravely injured and died from his injuries despite the efforts of the troopers and EMS on the scene. This investigation is ongoing.

Ulster County resident Charles Burgher, of Highland, was found guilty on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Kingston.
