Motorists are advised that single lane closures traffic slowdowns are expected on the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County. The closures, between Rossway/Drake Road and James Baird State Park in the towns of LaGrange and Pleasant Valley on Monday, April 1, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting. One Hospitalized In Two-Car Crash On Route 6N
One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Route 6N in Mahopac Falls. The crash took place Friday, March 22, at Route 6N and Hill Street, said Jack Casey, spokesman for the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Carmel Police units were on the scene as fire units arrived. EMS began triage as fire police took over traffic, freeing up CPD to investigate the crash, Casey said. One person was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. As the vehicles were cleared from the roadway, fire police assisted with traffic.

A portion of Route 44 in the Town of Amenia has reopened in both directions after an hours-long closure following a rollover involving a tractor-trailer and a van, said state police. Traffic is being diverted on Route 44 as a two-alarm fire ripped through the Pleasant Valley Free Library on Main Street. Would-Be Jumper On NY Thruway Shuts Down Traffic, Causes Gridlock In Area
A man who climbed a sign on the New York Thruway threatening to jump has been removed and is now in custody. The incident took place around after 3:30 p.m. Monday when the unidentified man climbed the sign along I-87 at Scotland Hill Road in Spring Valley, confirmed the New York State Police.
