Passenger Killed After Car Crashes Into Utility Pole On Route 9W A passenger in a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole on Route 9W was killed. The single-vehicle crash took place around 1:22 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, in Ulster County in the town of Saugerties. When Saugerties police responded to a 911 call they found a 2000 Honda Accord had hit the pole after leaving the east shoulder of the roadway,  said Saugerties Chief of Police Joseph Sinagra. I-684 Crash Sends Vehicle Into Woods A serious crash due to snowy and slippery roads shut down southbound lanes of I-684 in Westchester County for a couple of hours during the action on Monday, March 23. The crash, which sent a vehicle into the woods, took place around 1:50 p.m., said New York State Polie. Southbound lanes in Bedford between Exits 4 and 5 were closed while the crash was cleared.  Details surrounding the crash and injuries were not available.

I-684 Crash Sends Car Into Woods, Injuring Driver One lane of I-684 in Northern Westchester was closed due to a single-vehicle crash that injured one person. The crash took place around 9:21 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, northbound on I-684 in Armonk, when a vehicle overturned and landed in a wooded area, said New York State Police. According to state police, the right lane of traffic was temporarily closed for removal of the vehicle. The person received minor injuries, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Road Closure In Area State police are on the scene of a crash in which a piece of equipment fell off of a tractor-trailer during a rollover crash. The crash took place in Sullivan County after 8 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, on Rock Hill Drive in Rock Hill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Only the tractor-trailer was involved with the incident, Nevel said. Troopers on the scene are still gathering information, but there are no fatal injuries, Nevel said. ID Released For Teen Killed In I-84 Crash A teenager who was killed in a fiery crash on I-84 has been identified. Danbury resident Liam Declan Devine, 17, was driving west on I-84 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 near Exit 9 in Newtown when he lost control of his vehicle, Connecticut State Police said. Devine traveled through the grass out of control, over an embankment and into a tree. When Devine struck the tree, his vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
