Van Becomes Engulfed In Flames At Trader Joe's In Danbury A van became fully engulfed in flames early Saturday afternoon at a popular grocery store in the area. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the side of the building at Trader Joe's on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. Danbury Fire Department crews stretched a line and rapidly extinguished the fire. A few adjacent cars were damaged due to the volume of fire upon arrival. The Danbury Fire Marshals Office was called in to investigate the cause of the fire which is undetermined at this time.

Salads, Wraps Sold By Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Other Stores Recalled Some salad and wrap products from several large retailers, including Trader Joe's and Walgreens, have been recalled due to concerns of Cyclospora contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced. The beef, pork and poultry salad and wrap products were distributed by Caito Foods LLC. The problem was discovered when Caito Foods received notification from its lettuce supplier, Fresh Express, that the chopped romaine that is used to manufacture some of their salads and wraps was being recalled.
