A movie based on events at a maximum security prison in the Hudson Valley that may be a major Oscars contender is set to be re-released in theaters, according to reports. "Sing Sing," based on the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in the Northern Westchester village of Ossining, will again be released in theaters on Friday, Jan. 17, Variety reported. An alum of a high school in Westchester County has received a full-ride college scholarship in the name of deceased actor Chadwick Boseman. Jayleen Seeburg, who graduated from Mount Vernon's Denzel Washington School of the Arts in 2022, has received the Chadwick Boseman Memorial Scholarship, which will cover her four years of schooling at Howard University in Washington, DC, according to the high school. Claudio Delli Carpini a former star athlete in Westchester died on Saturday, Feb. 19 at the age of 30. Born in the Bronx to Joseph and Josephine Delli Carpini, a Harrison High School graduate was a man of many talents, according to his obituary. "He was highly intelligent, had a great sense of humor, loved to sing, and was an amazing card player," his obituary said.
