Fake Social Media Post In Region About School Violence Leads To Arrest Of 13-Year-Old A 13-year-old from the region has been charged with falsely reporting an incident after allegedly making a social media post stating that a mistaken lockdown at the school they attend was due to students and staff being harmed. The student was arrested on Monday, Oct.  28, at Liberty Middle and High Schools for the post made on Friday, Oct. 25, from Liberty. Traffic Stop In Region Leads To Drug Bust, 3 Arrested, State Police Say Two men and a juvenile were charged with possession of a controlled substance after state police found more than three pounds of marijuana and cocaine during a traffic stop. The bust took place in Sullivan County around 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 31 in the town of Liberty during a stop for traffic violations. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, during the stop, the driver of a 2006 Honda Accord, identified as Nicholas P. Three Arrested At Area High School For Selling Pot Edibles After Three Overdose, Police Say Three boys have been arrested for allegedly selling drugs at a high school in the region in connection with three girls exhibiting overdose symptoms. Man, Juveniles Nabbed For Shooting Earlier This Month In Region, State Police Say A man and a juvenile have been charged in connection with a shooting that took place earlier in the month. Sullivan County residents Tahleek Clark, age 20, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested on Friday, Aug. 13 for the incident which took place on Monday, Aug. 9 during the early morning hours in Monticello, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
