A 32-year-old Hudson Valley resident is facing multiple charges after authorities said he sent sexually-explicit photographs and messages to an undercover officer who was posing as a child. Thomas Szeliga, of the hamlet of Orangeburg in Rockland County, was indicted on one count of second-degree attempted criminal sexual act and one count of first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, according to authorities. Two Westchester County store employees were nabbed for allegedly selling pot and an electronic cigarette to a minor during a sting operation. The arrests took place in Dobbs Ferry and Hartsdale on Wednesday, June 8, The Greenburgh drug and alcohol task force conducted the first bust at the Dobbs Ferry Convenience On The Go located at 21 Cedar St., in the Village of Dobbs Ferry, said Capt. Attempted Rape Conviction Of Area Man Caught In An Online Sting Upheld By Courts
The attempted rape conviction of a Hudson Valley man has been upheld by the courts during an appeal of his 2019 guilty verdict during a jury trial. The Ulster County Appellate Division affirmed the conviction last year of Orange County resident Travis Sammeth, age 36, of Newburgh, who was found guilty of attempted rape in a case connected with a sting operation of online predators, said the Ulster County District Attorney David J.
