The Washington County incident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, May 12, in the town of Easton. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 40 for traffic violation when the driver failed to stop, leading to a pursuit. Burglars Crash Into Gun Shop In Capital Region, Steal Merchandise Police are seeking tips after a group of thieves forced their way into a gun shop in the region and stole merchandise. The Washington County break-in happened at around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, July 16, in Easton, at the Beecroft’s Shooters Supply on State Route 40. A Kia Sportage intentionally drove into the store’s front door, allowing several people to enter and steal items, according to New York State Police.
