Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Single-Vehicle Capital Region Wreck
One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in the region. The Greene County wreck happened at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, on State Route 23 in the town of Windham. New York State Police said 38-year-old Adam Kingsley, of Hunter, was driving a Toyota westbound on State Route 23 when he went off the roadway and struck a tree. Kingsley, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and there were no other reports of injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Fiery Crash: Man Killed, Woman Hospitalized In Critical Condition After Capital Region Wreck
A man is dead following a fiery, two-vehicle crash in the region that also left a woman hospitalized. The Columbia County wreck happened at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in the town of Greenport on State Route 23. Troopers and firefighters from the Greenport Fire Department responded to the intersection of Ponderosa Drive where they found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames, according to New York State Police. Woman Killed When Dump Truck Crashes Into Capital District Home, Starts Fire
A woman has died after an out-of-control dump truck slammed into a Capital District house, sparking a massive fire that destroyed two homes. Emergency crews in Greene County first got word of the crash at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, when 911 callers reported a dump truck striking a home in Ashland, near State Route 23 and West Settlement Road. By the time police and firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames and fire had spread to a neighboring home, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
