Police Officer From Northern Westchester Dies At Age 53 A Hudson Valley police officer is being remembered for his dedicated service to both his local community and his country.  Putnam County resident Daniel Bruno of Mahopac died on Thursday, June 22 at the age of 53, according to his obituary.  Born in 1969 in Mount Kisco, Bruno graduated from Somers High School before serving his country with the US Marine Corps. 23-Year-Old Hudson Valley Woman Remembered For Her 'Overwhelmingly Desire To Help Others' As family and friends say a final goodbye to a 23-year-old woman from the region who died after being struck in the head by a passing train, she is being remembered for her desire to help others. Putnam County resident, Hope Mantovi, of Mahopac, was struck around 8:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, in Woodlawn in the Bronx, said Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials. Mantovi died on Friday, April 8, at St. Barnabas Hospital from injuries incurred during the accident. She was the daughter of Frank (deceased) and Rosina (Bologna) Eulagio. Eulagio fought a long, hard battle with cancer for 10 years, said the obituary. She was strong-willed and courageous each and every day. The support she received through friends and family never went underappreciated. Jake, who died on Tuesday, June 26, was born on Dec. 7, 2001 in Mount. Kisco, the son of Robert Santoriella and Cristina Rodriguez Santoriella.
