Trio Charged With Trespassing After Allegedly Attempting To Start Fight In Area, Police Say
Three people were arrested after police responded to a call for help from a resident in the area.
Ulster County residents Shawna S. Rivera, 18, of Olivebridge; Rigoberto Rivera, 22, of Kingston, and Brandon Federau, 19, also of Olivebridge, were arrested around 12:07 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph A. Sinagra said.
According to Sinagra, the three were arrested after police responded to High Falls Road after the resident called 911 to report they wanted to fight the caller.
All three were charged with trespassing and released on their own recognizance.…
Woman Arrested For Hitting, Biting Person During Domestic Dispute, Police Say
A 25-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hitting and bitting another person during a domestic dispute.
Heather N. Free, of Saugerties, was arrested around 7:50 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, after Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute at the Hickory Ridge Apartments, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
When officers arrived on the scene they found that Free, allegedly while in an intoxicated condition, had thrown the victim’s personal belongings out of their residence, Sinagra said.

Man Arrested For DWI Following Crash Had 13 Active License Suspensions, Police Say
An Ulster man arrested for alleged DWI after crashing his vehicle had 13 active license suspensions.
Cesar Infante, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested around 1152 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, after police responded to the area of 67 Sparling Road for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch, and then proceeded to drive into a field, where it became disabled, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
When police arrived on the scene they found Infante who when they attempted to interview was "highly intoxicated and abusive toward officers," Sinagra said.

One Killed In Kingston's First Homicide In Two Years, Police Say
One person was killed during a shooting in Kingston, the first homicide in the city since 1917.
The shooting took place around 8:10 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, in the area of Prospect Street at Cedar Street, said the Kingston Police.
Police have released little other details, except to say that they are being assisted by the New York State Police, Ulster County District Attorney's Office, Ulster County Sheriff's Department, Ulster Police Department, and Saugerties Police Department K9 unit.

Woman Behind Bars Following Fights, Punching Officer In Area, Police Say
A 65-year-old Ulster County woman is behind bars after allegedly injuring another woman during a fight.
Michelle Flanders, of Saugerties, was arrested at 7:32 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, after Saugerties Police responded to a fight between two women at 1016 Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
When officers arrived on the scene they found that Flanders was at the location in violation of an order of protection, the chief said.
Sinagra said that Flanders struck the other woman, causing the victim to fall back down a staircase.
