Saratoga County resident Jeff Henderson, of South Glens Falls, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in Albany County Court on Thursday, Sept. 14, in the death of Benjamin Rowe. According to prosecutors, Henderson fatally shot Rowe at around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Albany, near Hamilton and Ontario streets. Rowe was 25 years old. Police in Saratoga County were initially called Sunday evening, Sept. 3, for a robbery in Saratoga Springs at the Ben & Jerry’s on Phila Street, according to police. Investigators said 40-year-old Daniel McKay, of Amsterdam in Montgomery County, walked in and told an employee he was robbing the store. He implied that he had a gun but did not show any weapon.
